I'm Derek Hammons, Founder & Enterprise Solutions Architect at 406 Business Solutions. For more than 15 years, I've worked at the intersection of enterprise technology, business operations, and the people who depend on both. My career has centered on designing, implementing, and evolving the systems that businesses rely on — from enterprise architecture and integrations to custom application development and modernization.
My career began on the product side of enterprise software, where I spent several years in product development on the Oracle B2C Service platform. I then moved into consulting and implementation, spending more than a decade helping organizations put that technology to work in increasingly complex environments. That combination of product development and hands-on consulting has shaped how I approach solutions today: understanding not only how enterprise platforms are designed, but how they actually need to work within a business.
I built 406 Business Solutions around a simple idea: the person you trust to solve your problems should be the one doing the work. After years in traditional consulting and staffing environments, I wanted to create a different model where clients work directly with me — without the layers of business overhead that can separate the client from the people doing the work.
